Overview of the role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design development and implementation of systems for various Nuclear projects. The successful candidate will ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant standards regulations and project requirements with a particular focus on mission systems systems integration and control panel design & manufacture.
What youll be responsible for:
Lead and manage the Nuclear band engineers providing technical guidance and support.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards regulations and project requirements.
Collaborate with engineering procurement clients and other stakeholders to define project scopes deliverables and timelines.
Conduct programme reviews and assessments of engineering reports and documentation.
Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout project lifecycles.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering tasks within budget and to the required quality standards.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Oversee and maintain engineering standards procedures and best practices.
Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
Lead project planning risk management and change control processes.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and across other project teams.
What youll bring:
Track record of delivering projects under NEC contracts
Qualified in a project management discipline ideally with relevant experience in Nuclear or similar regulated sectors.
Experience in systems mechanical and process engineering.
Experience in managing and leading engineering teams.
Understanding of industry standards and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence sound engineering and make managerial decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in relevant project software and tools. (P6 would be a bonus)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
