Were now looking for a Risk Systems Manager to play a central role in strengthening risk insight governance and decision-making across the Group.
About the role
As the Risk Systems Manager you will be at the heart of our Group-wide risk framework coordinating and managing risk processes through our integrated Risk Management Solution Audit Board. Acting as both a technical expert and data analyst on our system Audit Board youll ensure risks are clearly understood controls are effective and insights are delivered through high-quality reporting and analytics.
This is a varied and influential role where youll work closely with stakeholders across the business support continuous improvement of our risk systems and contribute to wider Risk & Compliance initiatives that support OCU Groups long-term strategy.
Key responsibilities
Risk Management & Controls
Coordinate Group-wide risk assessments and maintain accurate up-to-date risk registers.
Support risk and control owners in embedding the Group Risk Framework and completing control self-assessments.
Collaborate across the lines of defence building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Perform routine internal control testing using analytics automation and data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Risk System Management & Continuous Improvement
Act as the Group administrator for Audit Board guiding and mentoring users across the business.
Manage and continually enhance the Risk Management System ensuring data integrity functionality and alignment with evolving business needs.
Identify and deliver opportunities for automation and process optimisation in partnership with the Technology team.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare periodic risk reports for interim and annual reporting cycles ensuring timely submission to governance committees.
Develop dashboards and management information to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Aggregate and analyse risk data across events breaches and risk appetite metrics to identify trends and insights.
Provide flexible support to the Risk & Compliance team contributing to projects that strengthen assurance compliance and governance across the Group.
About you
You will bring a strong foundation in risk management and internal controls combined with excellent analytical skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Skills & Experience
Experience in risk control or audit within a regulated or complex environment.
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and internal controls.
Proven data analytics capability and experience working with Risk Management Information Systems.
Experience using AuditBoard or similar risk management software (advantageous).
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse data identify trends and present findings clearly.
Core Competencies
Professional qualification in risk compliance or accounting (e.g. IRM ICA ACA ACCA CIMA) desirable.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong IT capability.
Knowledge of governance compliance and business management best practice.
Experience working in global or inter-group environments (advantageous).
Strong numeracy and communication skills able to translate complex data into clear actionable insights.
