SUMMARY: This position supports the MediaHub Coordinator in the Communication Department within the Patty Arvielo School of Business and Management. This position reports directly to the MediaHub Coordinator with oversight from the MediaHub Director. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Student MediaHub Associates provide essential operational support to the MediaHub the Communication Department and their fellow students by helping to manage MediaHub facilities and resources assisting with department media creation and related initiatives and offering peer coaching in digital skills. Facilities and Resources - Ensure a functional welcoming work and study environment for all students
- Supervise the MediaHub facilitiesLab Studios and Classroomto ensure they stay clean intact safe and accessible for students
- Help maintain the computers and printers
- Help organize and maintain film and media equipment via inventory management and regular testing
- Check in/out equipment orders to students ensuring students receive working equipment and verifying condition of equipment when returned
- Uphold model and enforce the Access Agreement and Student Production Handbook
- Log and report issues with any MediaHub resources or facilities
Student Support - Assist all students with projects and homework that utilize the MediaHub resources
- Train and support other students in the use of MediaHub technology equipment and software
- Communicate with the faculty MediaHub team when higher level support needs are required

- Contribute to future planning and new ideas

Skill Development - Expand personal media and technology skills through assigned project-based work that supports the Communication Department (e.g. promos podcasts website social media)

- Meet assigned deadlines and communicate about roadblocks
Additional specific manager roles may be assigned based on interest and aptitude. REQUIRED DATES: This posting is for the Spring 2026 semester with the goal of training and developing the student team for subsequent years. Applicants should have availability during business hours on at least two days each week and should be available during start of academic year events and end of academic year events. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: - Communication Major Required.
- Current student enrolled at Vanguard University in good standing.
- Maintain minimum grade point average of 2.0 each term.
- Demonstrated commitment as a team player to support and collaborate with faculty staff peers and external constituents as well as the initiative and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will result in effective collaboration.
COMPENSATION: There are up to four open positions. Each position is a minimum of two hours per week at a rate of $16.90 per hour. | Required Experience:
