TEACHER LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

MOTHER ST BRIDE
1.0 FTE

0.5 FTE Classroom Resource Teacher (K-8)

0.5 FTE Junior/Intermediate Learning Skills Classroom (LSC)

E ffective immediately
Until approx. December 19 2025 and no t to extend beyond June 2 6 202 6

Mandatory Requirements:

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Junior and Intermediate Divisions
• Special Education Part I

Preferred Requirements:

• Special Education Part II or Specialist would be an asset
• Additional qualifications in Reading would be an asset
• Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division
• Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum the Ontario Kindergarten Program (2016) and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
• Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the schools professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
• Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
