Bilingual Mentor & Intake Specialist (English/Spanish) OMNI Illinois Full-Time OMNI a trusted mental health provider serving families for over 50 years is seeking a dedicated bilingual (English/Spanish) Therapeutic Mentor and Intake this role you will provide coaching children and adolescents within a trauma-informed client-centered and evidence-based framework. Key Responsibilities - Provide coaching support and skill building to clients in the community. Engagement in activities and experiential exercises created in collaboration with primary clinical therapist assigned to the case.
- For juvenile justice involved individuals: reducing recidivism developing a positive support network completing and/or re-engaging in school obtaining employment and linkage to needed support services.
- 60% of time will be spent in the field.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with primary clinical therapist.
- Prepare required case notes and documentation for billing and program monitoring
- In conjunction with Intake Manager answer and return all phone calls.
- Receives and oversee the scheduling of the administrative and initial assessment for client admission to the program.
- Schedules case to counselor to complete clinical assessment.
- In conjunction with MHJJ Client Engagement Coordinator manage and audit all referrals from juvenile justice.
- In conjunction with MHJJ Client Engagement Coordinator assist with tracking and reporting on at-risk youth.
Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in a human services or related field.
- Fluent in Spanish in order to provide verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility and willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours if needed to carry out all job responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to clients and coworkers cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Work effectively with diverse workforce and client groups.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and use of discretion in performance of duties operating within the limits of the agencys standard practice.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Valid Drivers License and proof of insurance.
