Pediatric Hospitalist

The Department of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire WI is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist/Inpatient Pediatrician to join a physician led organization in a community practice.

Duties include care for patients affected by prematurity respiratory distress infectious diseases congenital heart disease and/or other anomalies. Clinical responsibilities include resuscitation of newborns care of healthy newborns day-to-day management of babies in the Special Care Nursery and care of hospitalized children. Procedures performed include circumcisions umbilical central lines lumbar punctures frenulectomies intubations and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax. Responsibilities will include direct patient care as well as opportunities for educating advanced practice providers medical students and Family Medicine residents. This position is solely inpatient. Hospitalists work 12-hour shifts in-house 24 weeks per year.

Candidates must be board certified / board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics and be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
