On-Call Shift Schedule: Not guaranteed; providers may be asked to take call on an as-needed basis

Contract length: June through December 2026 with limited additional weeks possible prior to June

Patient Demographics: Pediatric patients
Patient Volume/Census: Varies by site
Admissions: Surgical and procedural cases as scheduled
Case Mix: Full spectrum of pediatric surgical procedures; kidney transplant only; no liver or heart transplants

EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary surgical services
Support Staff Available: CRNAs requiring physician supervision
Reason for Coverage: Expansion of anesthesia coverage across multiple facilities
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 6090 days

Pediatric anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties
Supervision of CRNAs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active West Virginia medical license required; facility not willing to license
Board: Board Certified in Anesthesiology required
DEA: Active DEA required
CSR: Active CSR required
Certifications: ABA ACLS and BLS required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric anesthesiology experience
Other Qualifications: Willingness and ability to supervise CRNAs; flexibility to float between assigned facilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide pediatric anesthesiology services for scheduled surgical procedures
Supervise CRNAs in a hospital-based anesthesia care team model
Deliver anesthesia care across multiple hospital sites as assigned
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe perioperative care
Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in Epic
Comply with hospital policies credentialing requirements and quality standards
