Your New Role and Responsibilities

ICT Project Systems Engineering Lead is the key technical authority within a project team ensuring the successful design development integration testing and deployment of complex ICT systems and infrastructure.

The role involves providing expert technical direction leadership and hands-on problem-solving to the engineering team while collaborating with project management and stakeholders to meet project goals and deliver high-quality reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities include: -

  • Provide technical leadership and systems engineering oversight across the full lifecycle guiding architecture decisions resolving complex technical issues and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.

  • Lead system design and architecture development including requirements analysis modelling specification development and evaluation of emerging technologies.

  • Support project execution by contributing to planning activities maintaining SE artefacts (SEMP TEMP TTO) and ensuring system delivery meets quality security and compliance standards.

  • Manage technical risks and issues proactively identifying potential impacts implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring system stability throughout delivery.

  • Lead and mentor engineering and technical teams fostering collaboration supporting capability development and ensuring effective communication across multidisciplinary stakeholders.

  • Oversee system implementation integration and operations ensuring optimal performance availability and supportability of ICT systems including participation in escalation or on-call response where required.


What Youll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Extensive experience in systems engineering leadership within complex ICT environments including architecture development system integration and lifecycle management.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications such as engineering ICT or related disciplines with desirable credentials including ITIL Systems Engineering (INCOSE / ASEP / CSEP).

  • Strong technical expertise across ICT infrastructure with the ability to analyze design and optimize systems using industry standards frameworks and modelling practices.

  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery including planning estimation documentation risk management and working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and lead discussions with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams fostering high performance collaboration and continuous improvement.
