Raytheon Hardware Engineering (HE) is the premier organization for hardware design development production and strives to minimize total systems cost while maximizing production. This is achieved through commitment training and continuous improvement using common tools and processes. The capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering operations technical services materials and processes analysis and test and documentation.

The Tactical Radars & Effectors Department provides mechanical and hardware systems engineering expertise and provides support across locations in Arizona California Texas and Massachusetts. The candidate will report directly to the mechanical design section in the department. The mechanical engineer position is to performdesign production supportand integration support for products including radars effectors and command and control systems.

The position is for the Marlborough MA location. This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do

Mechanical design analysis and documentation of hardware and systems
Working as part of a small team during product development part and drawing creation drawing release and drawing change incorporation
Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions.
Providing factory and supplier support domestically and internationally
Collaborating with senior external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination within and between organizations
This position will require interfacing with other mechanical engineers designers and structural / thermal analysts as well as engineers from other disciplines along with customers and program management

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Experience using CAD software such as CREO or equivalent

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) and CREO Modelling tools
Understanding of electronics packaging radar antenna design or precision systems through class projects professional internships or academic research
Efficient and disciplined process execution behaviors coupled with agility of thought and knowledge of how to appropriately tailor processes to fit the task
Demonstrates ability to apply academic engineering knowledge to solve design issues
Understanding of the mechanical engineering design processes

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
