Join our dynamic team as an Admissions Coordinator where you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students through their educational journey! Youll be the friendly face and knowledgeable resource that helps students navigate the enrollment process ensuring they have a seamless experience from inquiry to registration. Your expertise in education administration and passion for student success will shine as you collaborate with various departments to enhance recruitment strategies and support academic advising.
What youll do
- Manage and maintain all admissions-related documentation and records.
- Support the planning and execution of open houses orientation events and other admissions-related activities
- Ensure data integrity and security across all student information systems adhering to institutional best practices.
- Monitor student financial accounts ensuring timely processing of payments and refunds.
- Provide clear and accurate information to students regarding tuition program fees and payment policies.
- Verify and reconcile payments through bank documentation.
- Assist in developing and improving admissions and registration procedures.
- Participate in special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Liaise professionally with agents parents and students to support the admissions process and respond to inquiries.
- Provide campus tours to prospective families and visitors when required.
- Advise and guide a diverse international student population throughout the admissions and registration process.
- Maintain accurate and timely information within the Student Information System to support registration record-keeping and reporting.
- Collect analyze and report on enrollment and admissions data.
- Ensure student grades and academic records are accurately entered to support student progression suspension or graduation decisions.
- Manage the retention transfer and disposal of student and office records in compliance with record-keeping standards.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma (3-year) in Business Administration Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 35 years of relevant administrative experience in admissions or student services environment.
- Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and related database software.
- Knowledge of international education requirements including custodianship and study permit documentation.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in a second language is an asset and supports communication with our diverse international community
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and immigration-related documentation is an asset.
