Investigation Officer-CEOs Office-Mount Sinai Health System-Full Time-Days
Position Summary:
The individual in this position will primarily focus on investigating allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse made by patients employees students and trainees in the clinical academic and workplace settings.
This position will work closely with members of the clinical team Chief Medical Officers Patient Experience Human Resources Labor Relations and Title IX offices as well as Risk Management Security Legal and NYPD and District Attorneys Office. It may be necessary to provide testimony through a variety of court and legal hearings.
The position operates in a fast paced crisis setting and requires teamwork ability to conduct investigations and interview witnesses who experienced trauma in a compassionate expeditious manner and prepare written investigatory reports.
Responsibilities- Organizes conducts and manages investigations of alleged misconduct sexual harassment and related violations of Mount-Sinai Health Systems policies and procedures
- Conducts interviews takes statements review pertinent documentations and analyses facts
- Drafts investigative reports formulates recommended corrective measures and related disciplinary actions based on findings
- Collaborates with Clinical Team Chief Medical Officers Human Resources Labor Relations Title IX Offices and relevant resources to achieve objectives
- Ensures thorough investigative process and compliance of rules and regulations
- Supports the development and delivery of education and prevention programs
- Maintains confidentiality act with sensitivity discretion and objectivity
- May gather evidence for testimony through courts and legal hearings; obtains and reviews pertinent documentation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications- Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred.
- 5 yrs. of proven experience in conducting investigations interviewing witnesses and preparing investigatory reports.
- Experience investigating allegations of sexual misconduct preferred.
- Forensic interview training and experience preferred
- Ability to manage a high volume of crisis-driven cases with strong organizational skills
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87692.00 - $131538.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
