The SeniorParalegal Global Litigation & Compliance will be the operational hub for the litigation regulatory employment and compliance functions. They will report to the SVP Senior Associate General CounselGlobal Litigation and Compliance and can work on a wide range of other projects within the Legal Department and cross-functionally with other business units.

Essential Functions
- Operations Management: This is a unique opportunity to for an experienced business-minded paralegal to drive the organization and optimize the functioning of a broad team that covers several diverse substantive areas litigation regulatory employment and compliance as well as various special business projects. Be a strategic right hand to the team by helping it evolve to match SharkNinjas rapid growth. Some examples include:
- Oversee matter logistics and manage information flow and reporting.
- Proactively identify areas to maximize the teams performance and drive efficiency.
- Project manage special projects inside and outside the Legal Department.
- Maintain team schedules / calendars.
- Coordinate budgets bill review and RFPs.
- Coordinate with outside counsel.
- Litigation: Provide support for the companyslitigation matters and disputes including product liability subrogation intellectual property employment and commercial litigation. Tasks include:
- Track status of the companys litigations and maintain case files.
- Assist with discovery including collecting and organizing documents for production working with witnesses on written discovery responses coordinating witness interviews and depositions and working with e-discovery vendors.
- Assist with in-house handling of certain litigation matters including preparation of pleadings and other case documents.
- Manage and maintain the litigation departments legal hold system.
- Assist in responding to subpoenas.
- Managethe companys docket of subrogation matters working with insurance adjusters and the companys third-party claims administrator.
- Manage pre-litigation personal injury claims.
- Respond to complaints from consumers retailers state attorneys general and consumer groups (e.g. Better Business Bureau) about the companys products in coordination with members of the sales and customer service teams.
- Regulatory:
- Assist in the review of product assets (packaging marketing materials online content) for safety and regulatory considerations.
- Maintain global regulatory classification and pathway to market timelines to be leveraged by cross-functional teams.
- Employment:
- Manage and track responses to employment-related document requests.
- Collaborate with People & Culture Team on internal investigations training initiatives and employment-related special projects.
- Help monitor changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing responses to audits agency filings (e.g. EEOC DOL) and other employment-related regulatory inquiries.
- Compliance:
- Track compliance-related legal developments and assist with compliance initiatives.
- Support compliance investigations.
- Manage the companys policy library and assist with updating policies as needed.
- Assist with compliance and other training managed by the legal department.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10 years of experience as a litigationparalegalat a law firm or in-house legal department (experience in both environments is a plus)
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience with consumer products and medical devices is a plus
- Wide range of litigation experience particularly in areas such as product liability intellectual property and commercial matters
- Experience with large repeat litigation matters
- Experience with litigation processes such as legal hold software matter management systems and e-discovery programs
- Experience with government and regulatory agencies such as the CPSC EPA and FTC
- Experience negotiating and handling personal injury and subrogation matters
- Excellent organization time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to multi-task meet deadlines and work efficiently and effectively in time-sensitive situations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal client service skills communication and written skills
- Ability to integrate with the business and facilitate relationships between the business and the legal department
- Strong research analytical problem-solving and project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and DocuSign
