Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide application support to users: answer resolve and log in-bound customer queries identify issues and offer both immediate and long-term solutions.
Investigate and analyse system issues to determine root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
Participate in the design and delivery of system developments and enhancements ensuring alignment with budget timelines specifications and industry standards.
Offer system knowledge and consultancy for projects across divisions ensuring business process requirements and best practices are met.
Review and recommend continuous improvements for systems and support processes.
Document technical information and processes for existing and new functionality to maintain up-to-date system support.
Maintain data quality and integrity within systems.
Communicate clearly professionally and appropriately with colleagues customers and suppliers.
Perform system maintenance tasks according to agreed schedules.
Requirements:
Experience in application support.
Intermediate SQL expertise and the ability to write complex queries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Experience supporting and maintaining production systems in a customer-facing environment.
Ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with database systems reporting and query tools.
Demonstrable technical aptitude.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 1st-year tertiary level in Information Systems Computer Science or Accounting.
2 years experience with SQL fundamentals and complex query writing.
2 years experience in MS Excel and VBA.
Solid general computing knowledge including basic Windows troubleshooting networking fundamentals and application installation.
Excellent technical problem-solving and communication skills.
