Job Description

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be leading a team of associates to achieve a variety of goals including: workplace culture efficiency problem resolution process improvement and maintaining a safe work environment.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead team to meet or exceed operational goals in safety quality delivery cost and productivity
  • Implement process improvements by applying PPI 5S and Lean methodologies
  • Advise the daily work to ensure schedule completion while leading utilization and efficiency.
  • Trend production metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve operational excellence
  • Ensures effective performance evaluations are prepared and delivered for all employees
  • Coach and mentor staff to elevate overall performance and achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Make technical and business risk decisions under real-time pressure
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Initiates investigations into process failures product failures and safety incidents
  • Interacts cordially with diverse internal functional groups to tackle moderately sophisticated problems

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain or related field is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing
  • Direct supervisory and people management experience

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Strong ability to hold team members accountable and manage performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
