How You Will Make an Impact:
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be leading a team of associates to achieve a variety of goals including: workplace culture efficiency problem resolution process improvement and maintaining a safe work environment.
A Day in the Life:
- Lead team to meet or exceed operational goals in safety quality delivery cost and productivity
- Implement process improvements by applying PPI 5S and Lean methodologies
- Advise the daily work to ensure schedule completion while leading utilization and efficiency.
- Trend production metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve operational excellence
- Ensures effective performance evaluations are prepared and delivered for all employees
- Coach and mentor staff to elevate overall performance and achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Make technical and business risk decisions under real-time pressure
- Ensures company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Initiates investigations into process failures product failures and safety incidents
- Interacts cordially with diverse internal functional groups to tackle moderately sophisticated problems
Keys to Success:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain or related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing
- Direct supervisory and people management experience
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and implementing operational efficiencies.
- Strong ability to hold team members accountable and manage performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
