Job Summary
Trustbridge Hospice a part of Empath Health is seeking a dependable and customer service oriented DME Technician/Driver to join our team in Deerfield Beach.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday 1 p.m. 9:30 p.m and weekend/on-call based on departmental/company needs.
Since 1978 Trustbridge Hospice has cared for more than 200000 South Florida families. As a community-based nonprofit we provide 24/7 hospice and palliative care along with caregiver support and bereavement services for families facing serious illness.
What Youll Do
- Provides pick-up and delivery services for all DME and oxygen equipment to patients and families.
- Instructs clients as to the proper use of equipment.
- Responsible for the final inspection of equipment prior to delivery.
- Completes home safety assessment relating to patients environment for safety purposes.
- Maintains quality compliance and adheres to all infection control practices and policies.
- This position involves direct contact with patients and families so must communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer service.

What Youll Need
- Requires 1-3 years working experience preferably in a courier/delivery setting.
- Must have good personal hygiene and be neat in appearance.
- Requires valid Florida drivers license a good driving record and adequate insurance coverage.
- Must have an excellent knowledge of the Palm Beach County road systems.
- Works well under stress and can effectively handle multiple activities at once.
- Requires excellent interpersonal organization and time management skills.
