The Role
As we further strategically align our teams we have created a new role for a National Bid Manager to lead Compass Group Australias Bid function. This role plays a critical part in shaping our growth ambitions driving strategic and commercially focused tender responses and ensuring consistent delivery of our value proposition across sectors.
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the planning development and submission of high-quality client-focused bids that support our sector growth targets. You will lead a national team of bid specialists lift capability and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver winning solutions.
In this role you will be responsible for.
- Leading a high-performing geographically spread bid team to deliver competitive differentiated client-focused proposals.
- Driving consistent application of bidding best practice tools systems and processes by translating business strategy into compelling solutions that enable profitable growth.
- Managing all aspects of the bid processincluding planning content design scheduling approvals and quality assurance.
- Building team capability through coaching mentoring training and effective performance development.
- Partnering closely with Sales Sector GMs Inside Sales and the wider Growth & Enablement team.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Minimum 8 years experience in bid management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership capability with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing complex high-value bids (contract catering or soft services industry desirable).
- Exceptional communication presentation planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to craft compelling client-oriented solutions backed by evidence and insight.
