Reporting to the Manager & Senior Advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer the Senior Strategic Advisor will act as a trusted advisor and critical liaison between the Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Vice Presidents ensuring alignment of priorities and efficient execution of strategic this high-profile role the Senior Strategic Advisor will lead strategic initiatives across the division provide meaningful advice to divisional leaders to advance key priorities and capitalize on continuous improvement opportunities.
What will I be doing
- Provide strategic counsel direction advice and perspective to help inform and guide senior decision-makers identify opportunities and incorporate recommendations into planning and programs
- Identify risks and opportunities provide issues management advice guidance and strategic direction to anticipate identify prioritize manage and minimize issues as they arise
- Lead the development of employee engagement and retention strategies plans and activities to improve the divisional employee experience
- Support the development of strategies and plans to improve the client experience and enhance stakeholder relations
- Develop maintain and oversee communications plans to elevate the overall employer brand and HR Division profile
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and advance the use of Lean and continuous improvement principles across the HR Division
Respond to enquiries provide advice and make recommendations in accordance with established legislation policies and procedures
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in Business Administration Human Resources or a related field or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategies; managing special projects complex and sensitive issues
- Project coordination skills to develop produce and deliver a wide range of competing priorities under tight timelines
- Strong relationship-building skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Research and analytical skills to identify complex stakeholder relations and/or employee engagement issues and issues management initiatives and recommend solutions
- Oral/written communication skills to develop implement and monitor communication plans and strategies
- Knowledge and experience applying continuous improvement and Lean principles
