What you will do:
Receive service calls from Service Resource Center including a brief description of equipment/systemmalfunctions
Contact customer representative andascertainequipment/systemsproblems
Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customersites
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals part manuals change notices and bulletins modification notices etc. to repairequipment
Service troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers Fire & Life Safety systems includingSimplexGrinnell
Read and interpret blueprints diagrams submittals specifications software/systems programsschematicsand operational productmanuals
Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customersatisfaction
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as smart phones and laptop computers
Obtain customer signature upon completed service callassignment
Participate in a scheduled On-callrotation
Help to train or mentor others on the serviceteam
Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolveservice relateditems. As a trusted advisor to ourcustomersyou will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

How you will do it
This skilled position involves troubling shooting and repairing installed systems. Including panel repair/reprogram device replacement/repair resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing.
Organize and effectivelyutilizetechnical resources information material and support toassureefficient execution of all assigned tasks.
Candidatemustpossessexcellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.
Position involves the programming of fire alarm security and access control system panels.
Experience CCTV and IT and IPnetworksa plus.
Complete andsubmitalltask-related activity productivity and other documentationin a timely manner.
On callandafter hoursworkon occasion at customerneed.
Provide recommendations and solutions to ensurefacilityis running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for:
5 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety systems Access Control Nurse Call and Paging systems.
NICETllLevel II certification- Preferred
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints submittals and operational/product manuals.
Knowledge of test equipment multi-meter digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilingsetc
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Overnight travel may be.
Demonstratea high levelof customer service.
Maintain truck inventory to ensuretimelyresponse to customer needs.
Ability to adhere to implement andfollow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Strong organizational skills positive attitude andan abilityto learn quickly.
Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements.
Retain any licensesthat are requiredby NationalStateand Local codes.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.80 - $40.38 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.)
