About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Audit Sampling Staff Accountant to support their Audit Team with a primary focus on audit sampling testing and data-driven procedures for nonprofit engagements. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys working with large data sets applying sampling methodologies and partnering with audit teams to strengthen accuracy coverage and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Execute audit sampling and substantive testing procedures across nonprofit audit engagements.
Extract organize and analyze client data to support sample selection and audit conclusions.
Prepare and maintain audit workpapers schedules and supporting documentation using Knowledge Coach.
Follow firm audit methodology and documentation standards.
Perform analytical procedures and assist in identifying accounting internal control or reporting issues.
Collaborate closely with team members to ensure timely accurate completion of testing.
Maintain compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting (CPA eligibility not required).
Coursework or experience in data analysis statistics or audit sampling methodologies.
1-5 years of public accounting audit or related financial analysis experience preferred.
Comfortable working with large spreadsheets/data sets; strong Excel skills required.
Experience with Knowledge Coach is a plus.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Self-motivated dependable and comfortable in a flexible collaborative setting.
