  • Lead high-impact policy work that facilitates supporting the Minister for Lands and Property in the administration of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act (Just Terms Act) applying your expertise in the Just Terms Act to deliver high-quality advice and outcomes.
  • Temporary full-time opportunity to Feb 2027
  • NSW office location (negotiable) with flexible working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $129464 to $142665 super
  • This opportunity to is open to Property Workplace Development staff only

The role

You will lead and coordinate key policy strategy and project activities that support the operational and strategic priorities of Property Workplace and Development. Youll be responsible for supporting the Minister for Lands and Property in administration of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.

Youll provide high-quality written advice engage with stakeholder engagement across government undertake complex research and analysis support to the Independent Hardship Review Panel and support project delivery across sensitive and high-profile areas of work.

A core component of the role involves applying your knowledge and experience of the Just Terms Compensation Act to support policy development briefings and operational decision-making. You will work closely with senior leaders internal teams and stakeholders to ensure informed timely and accurate advice that enables effective program outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

  • Knowledge and experience relating to the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
  • Strong policy capability with the ability to analyse complex issues and prepare high-quality plain-English advice and briefing materials.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and navigate sensitive or high-risk matters.
  • Demonstrated project coordination and delivery capability including managing priorities meeting deadlines and producing accurate evidence-based work in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven experience in projects and policy in a Government role
