Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Opportunity in Elkader IA

Our facility provides a supportive environment equipped with modern medical imaging laboratory services and a dedicated nursing support team. We are looking for a locum physician to help meet the emergency care needs of our community. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care while working in a friendly and welcoming setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Function as the sole provider covering the Emergency Department and Med/Surg at the facility.
- Provide emergency care and inpatient skilled care as required.
- Collaborate with a small team comprising 2 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider.
- Utilize a fully equipped ED with modern medical imaging capabilities.
- Manage an average of 3.6 ER patients per day and 1.4 Med/Surg patients.
- Perform necessary emergency procedures as indicated.
- Document patient care efficiently using EPIC EMR.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (REQUIRED)
- Active Iowa Medical License (REQUIRED)
- DEA and CSR certifications in hand (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice history with no background issues (REQUIRED)
License and Certification Requirements:
All candidates must have the following certifications and licenses prior to commencement:
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
- Active Iowa License
- DEA and CSR
- Clean Malpractice History
