Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
- Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing or related field
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in a hospitalist setting or internal medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
Shifts: 7a-7p 3p-3a and 7p-7a
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
Nightly Volume: 15 admits 2-3 calls per hour
Duties: Evaluate and handle new admissions EKG reviews for possible STEMIs some critical care coverage etc.
No procedures required
Support Staff: Hospitalist MD on backup call APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
