The Structural Marine Engineer will be responsible for designing analyzing and reviewing structural components for port & maritime facilities. This role ensures compliance with international standards project specifications and safety requirements while supporting the execution of engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Analysis Perform structural design and analysis for marine structures such as jetties wharves pile foundations breakwater and coastal protection. Utilize advanced software tools (e.g. SAP2000 etc) for structural modeling and simulation.
Technical Documentation Prepare and review engineering drawings calculations and reports. Ensure all deliverables meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
Project Support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions.
Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards (BS EN ASCE PIANC OCIMF). Conduct risk assessments and structural integrity checks.
Quality & Safety Implement best practices for structural safety and reliability.
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in structural engineering preferably in marine projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP 2000 etc.). Strong knowledge of international marine and offshore standards.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Language: Active business communication (speaking and writing)
