Our SP Energy Networks businessis responsible forthe distribution of electricity to your property via our network of pylons substationscablesand power lines. We serve 3.5 million homes and businesses across Central & Southern Scotland Cheshire Merseyside NorthShropshireand North Wales. We work round the clock to make sure you have power. This teamis responsible fordelivering the safe provision of one of the following specific activities with strict adherence to theappropriate regulatoryand license obligations for the electricity distribution network; Operations & Maintenance.
Whatyoullbe doing
Youll take ownership of project planning and delivery ensuring outages are minimised and performance targets are achieved. These include Customer Minutes Lost Customer Interruptions and Guaranteed Standards. Youll work closely with customers and stakeholders to support clear communication and smooth delivery of projects that impact local communities.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include contract management operational switching and project coordination. Youll also contribute to continuous improvement by analysing performance data and feedback helping us enhance safety reliability and the integrity of the electrical network.
Whatyoullbring
MinimumCriteria:
HV OHL operational Authorisation as a minimum
HV OHL documents preferred
Also experience in:
Project / programme coordination experience to enable effective delivery of projects and initiatives.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment including relevant output and incentive mechanisms.
General contract commercial and regulatory awareness with the ability to balance effective and efficient customer service and project delivery ensuring maximum return on investment.
Effective stakeholder and customer service engagement and management.
Ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels
Ability to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgement todetermineoptimalsolutions
Awareness and understanding of key business drivers and the external commercial context in which SPEN is operating
Ability to devise solutions to problems/challenges.
Technical and operational experience in a relevant industrial role.
Low Voltage operational authorisation
Working knowledge in the operation of the Interconnected LV network
