The Compliance Data Methodology lead supports the Compliance function to increase maturity and efficiency of the function within the business lines countries and on central level.
We are looking for a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of both the business and technical side of the Compliance related activities and systems and who is able and willing to work with diverse teams and operating models. It also includes exploring the use of technology like (Gen)AI and FinTechs to build a Compliance function of the future.
The ideal candidate would have an established network of senior stakeholders within the bank and a data strategy and delivery background preferably with large scale implementations. With the support of the new Compliance Data Methodology lead OneCompliance will be moving into its NEXT step of maturity by transforming compliance and continue to build trust for our stakeholders.
The Team
The Compliance Data Methodology team is part of the Group Compliance domain within ING within the Compliance Frameworks & Control (CF&C) department. The team plays a critical role in building out a data driven and technology supported ING global compliance risk management cycle ensuring consistent tools available data and leveraging new technology like (Gen)AI. Together with its key stakeholders the team supports management of the global compliance function and its processes.
Specific Function
The team supports the OneCompliance function with enabling a data driven approach in all Compliance related activities. This forward-looking role will work alongside ING senior stakeholders (e.g. ING Analytics COOR CDO FCFP Tech ODCR Risk) to bring the data driven and supported elements of our Compliance Risk Management Cycle into life as part of the OneCompliance NEXT strategy.
By using new technologies innovation and data we strive to deliver proactive and sustainable regulatory solutions for ING Bank and the Compliance function. These require to be robust reliable and secure whilst continuously meeting the evolving needs of our people and clients and our drive for continuous improvement and efficient use of resources.
To increase maturity at all levels related to use of data and tooling we need to create more focus and dedication. The Compliance Data Methodology lead has a global in- and oversight on compliance wide data and tooling projects from a compliance angle.
Lead Framework & Policies reports hierarchically to the Head of Compliance Frameworks and Control located in Amsterdam.
Roles and responsibilities
You are a champion for digitalisation within OneCompliance supporting accuracy and efficiency across countries and business lines with regards to our tooling implementation roadmap.
You can lead a team of data digitalisation and compliance experts co-ordinating multiple tooling rollouts and data liberation processes running in parallel.
You champion data literacy within OneCompliance and can unite stakeholders along the journey towards fully data driven processes/assessments.
You act as an ambassador for data driven compliance risk management jointly with risk verticals and countries.
You ensure stakeholder needs are established fully qualified and quantified documented and articulated to support effective deployment.
You can co-ordinate a safe environment to test and validate new data and tooling initiatives with an emphasis on transparency collaboration and problem solving.
Support the delivery of OneCompliance NEXT strategy from a data and technology expertise and challenge perspective.
You facilitate and drive the use of data analytics and (Gen)AI in our compliance risk management activities jointly with the OneCompliance community.
You are a driving force to accelerate the data culture across the firm further developing our capabilities and enhancing our control frameworks.
You represent ING on relevant external forums as keynote speaker and/or by publishing articles
As a member of the CF&C MT you provide your input expertise and support towards the OneCompliance topics.
