St Vincents to Deliver Australias New Free Digital Mental Health Service
St Vincents is proud to partner with the Australian Government to help Australians access fast free digital mental health support through the new Medicare Mental Health Check In service launching nationally from 1 January 2026.
This new digital and phone-based model will provide rapid access to evidence-based low-intensity CBT delivered by qualified practitioners. It will support people experiencing stress distress or anxiety by offering early effective intervention that empowers individuals to improve their mental wellbeing sooner.
A nationwide capability uplift is now underway to recruit train and support a large multi-year workforce. As part of this transformation we are establishing a high-performing Learning ecosystemsupported by digital enablement human-centred design and continuous service improvement.
About the Role: Project Manager Learning Digital Mental Health
We are seeking an experienced agile and highly organised Project Manager Learning to lead the planning development and implementation of learning programs digital education products and contribute to workforce capability frameworks and operational training for Australias newest digital mental health service.
This role orchestrates the full project lifecycle across:
Learning needs analysis and education service design
Functional and capability briefing with clinical digital and operational leaders
Workforce education planning for a rapidly scaling national service
Development and commissioning of digital learning platforms curriculum tools and resources
Coordination of clinical educators SMEs product teams and stakeholders to contribute to content development
Planning and management of operational readiness onboarding and capability uplift
Embedding quality safety person-centred care and mission-aligned principles into all learning activities
You will partner closely with the Director of Clinical Services Clinical Education Lead Digital Health Product Team and the Learning & Development Unit to ensure all learning experiences are evidence-based accessible scalable and aligned to our model of care.
This role has national visibility and direct impact on shaping how thousands of Australians experience early intervention mental health support.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Program Development
Lead the planning coordination and delivery of major learning projects across digital mental health.
Develop functional briefs capability frameworks training plans and education workflows.
Oversee development of curriculum learning materials digital modules and blended learning products.
Coordinate clinical SMEs educators digital teams and external partners to ensure high-quality outputs.
Maintain oversight of ICT/learning system requirements and innovative education technologies.
Project Management & Implementation
Drive project planning timelines risk management and progress reporting.
Oversee commissioning of learning systems onboarding programs and capability uplift initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional communication between clinical digital operational and L&D stakeholders.
Ensure readiness for national service launch and subsequent workforce expansion phases.
Quality Safety & Continuous Improvement
Embed person-centred care mission alignment and clinical governance into all learning programs.
Ensure learning design supports safe high-quality clinical practice in digital environments.
Lead incident-driven learning reviews root cause education improvements and feedback loops.
Monitor quality indicators and drive continuous improvement across all education initiatives.
General

About You
You are a strategic detail-oriented and collaborative project leader who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence education digital enablement and large-scale transformation.
You bring:
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in health education project management psychology nursing social work or related fields.
Postgraduate qualifications in mental health education clinical training or a related area (highly regarded).
Experience
3 years managing complex clinical education or service implementation projectsideally within healthcare or digital health.
Experience in designing building or commissioning learning programs digital training or clinical workforce capability uplift.
Strong project management capability including risk management documentation timelines systems and stakeholder engagement.
Skills & Attributes
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
High proficiency in digital tools learning platforms and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work autonomously collaboratively and with diverse stakeholders.
