Certified CGSB Level 2 Inspector (VT, UT, MT) Contract

SGS is looking to hire a Certified CGSB Level 2 Inspector (VT UT MT) as an independent contractor for a QA/QC assignment that will start in January 2026 and last one year.

Scope of work includes:

• Review of workmanship on steel fabrication for conformance with project specifications and Review of fitting Dimensional Checks
• Visual Examination - 100% of all welds.
• Ultrasonic Test Method - 100% of all complete penetration welds.
• Magnetic Particle Test Method 100% of all filet welds.
• Inspection of Bolts of Slip-Critical and not slip critical or pre-tensioned connections

Qualifications :

• Must be a Certified CGSB Level 2 Inspector (VT UT and MT).
• Minimum of 5 years of shop inspection experience (vendor surveillance).
• Ideal candidate would have steel structure inspection experience.
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team as well as independently
• Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Work schedule: 8 hours a day starting in January 2026 for at least a year.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
• The contractor will need to provide their own equipement.
• The contractor needs to be an independent contractor (IC)
