As a Staff QMS Engineer you will lead initiatives that strengthen Microns Quality Management System (QMS) and support the site in achieving and maintaining certifications such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. You will champion quality programs audits and continuous improvement activities while promoting engagement and recognition through initiatives like Defense Lines Quality Mindset FMEA Manufacturing Disciplines and Quality Good Catch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QMS Deployment: Oversee implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System processes aligned with Micron standards and external requirements.

• Ensure Audit Readiness: Drive site preparedness for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits with strong documentation and process compliance.

• Promote Quality Culture: Champion initiatives like EFQM MQA DL0 workshops QGC and 12D to embed a quality-first mindset.

• Foster Continuous Improvement: Encourage risk-based thinking and ongoing improvement across all organizational functions.

• Manage Audits: Plan and conduct internal audits; support external audits and customer visits ensuring timely closure of findings.

• Provide Technical Expertise: Apply advanced quality tools (FMEA MSA SPC control plans) and deliver training on QMS standards and best practices.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with global and local teams to align strategies share lessons learned and support network quality programs.

• Drive Recognition Initiatives: Act as liaison for quality-related recognition programs and promote engagement in quality excellence activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

• At least 8 years experience in semiconductor industry or EMS Industry with annual revenue in excess of $1 billion USD

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence across teams.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in effecting deploying EFQM FMEA PPAP SPC control plans SPC MSA and risk-based approaches.

• Experience in deploying quality improvement programs and managing complex projects.

• Demonstrated success in driving cultural change and continuous improvement.
