Responsibilities
Performs scheduling function in a streamlined environment which is fully computerized. Position requires application of special instructions and procedural information to identify type of procedure requested and correctly schedule rooms and equipment. Enters various data into computer systems verifies the accuracy of data input and corrects errors and prints reports as necessary.
This position will be alternate between the Atlanta Cancer Support Center and the Cancer Support Center in Gwinnett. They will be supporting the cancer genetics and high risk programs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Medical terminology
2. One (1) year previous medical related clerical or related experience or an associates degree.
3. Good communication skills
4. Typing requirements vary by department; see requisition for requirements.
5. Fundamental knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application.
6. Level of proficiency in the use and application of MS Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) varies by department see requisition for requirements.
7. CPR Certified vary by department; see requisition for requirement
PREFERRED:
1. Three (3) years previous experience in admissions or a scheduling environment. 2. Demonstrated problem-solving skills 3. Proficient in computerized input of data
