- Evaluate open-source components and AI tools to ensure they meet organizational licensing requirements and align with internal AI governance policies.
- Provide guidance and training to engineering teams and contractors on open-source and AI concepts policies and best practices.
- Maintain and oversee processes that safeguard intellectual property and ensure company-wide compliance.
- Collaborate with product engineering legal and other cross-functional teams to advance open-source strategies support responsible AI adoption and review community contributions.
- Support customer software licensing discussions particularly those involving open-source usage.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Systems Software Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Citizenship in the US or Canada.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
- High integrity and a dedicated work ethic.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a service-focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with open-source licensing AI governance and intellectual property concepts.
- Hands-on programming experience or technical understanding of software development.
- While prior expertise in AI or open-source is beneficial it is not required. Training will be provided to help you develop the skills needed for this role.
