The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce providing new training education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026 all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About Us
Ngamai Wilam is anewly built 12-bed residential eating disorder treatment facilityin Armadale set to open inMay 2025. Jointly funded by theAustralian Federal Governmentand theVictorian Government thisspecialist statewide servicewill be managed by Alfred Health.
Ngamai Wilam provides24/7 trauma-informed recovery-focused carefor adults aged 18 and over in agender-inclusive home-like therapeutic environment. With a strong emphasis onfamily and chosen supports our team is dedicated toperson-centred care that promotes long-term recovery.
About the Role
As anEnrolled Nurse you will:
- Play avital rolein supporting individuals through their recovery journey in a residential setting.
- Provideperson-centred trauma-informed and recovery-oriented careunder the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitorparticipants mental and physical healthsupportdaily therapeutic activities andcontributeto care planning.
- Deliverevidence-informed interventionstailored to the unique needs of individuals experiencing eating disorders.
- Work within theVictorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act (2022)and other relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with theclinical and lived experience workforceto foster a therapeutic environment that upholds dignity choice and self-determination.
About You
- Diploma of Nursing(Enrolled Nurse) withAHPRA registration.
- Medication Endorsement(must be listed on AHPRA registration).
- Experience inmental health nursing and/or eating disorders.
- Commitment torecovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience inresidential inpatient or community mental health settings.
- Experience providingtherapeutic care for individuals with eating disordersacross hospital community or specialist settings.
- Knowledge ofDialogical Practiceand its application in mental health care (desirable).
- Australian working rights.
- Current Victorian Driver License Working with Children Check and Background Check.
