YOUR NEW ROLE

Step into the world of live performance with a traineeship designed to spark your creativity and build your technical skills from the ground up. As part of our Production team youll help deliver safe smooth and memorable live events while learning what makes great technical production happen.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their career whos excited to explore theatre and live events. Youll work towards a CUA40425 Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services specialising in lighting technologies all while gaining hands-on experience with real productions.

Youll be supported by a friendly experienced team who will guide your on-the-job learning and help you grow your confidence. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If youre enthusiastic keen to learn and ready to shine in a dynamic environment wed love to hear from you.

To be eligible for a traineeship applicants must:

  • Have completed Year 12 (or equivalent) with a solid achievement in English Mathematics and Technology.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen permanent resident or have full working rights (for at least six months prior to applying).Visa Holders must be able to work and study in Australia to be eligible for a traineeship in NSW.
  • Be willing to commit to the traineeship agreement. Traineeship duration is 18 months (March 2026 September 2027)
  • Applicants must not have completed a qualification equal to or above a Certificate IV level in any similar technical production qualification. For example; completing a Cert IV Diploma Advanced Diploma or Degree in any technical production discipline will make you ineligible.
  • Applicants must show evidence of their capabilities in live production and technical services and their ability to:
  • Produce a body of work that demonstrates the ability to respond effectively to workplace requirements associated with live production and technical services in line with current industry standards and apply a basic knowledge of trends and traditions in at least one area of technical production. Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience or formal study.
