Role Overview
Join an ambitious team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Production Support Technician I! This role is crucial in ensuring the flawless operation of our biologics manufacturing by meticulously maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our production areas and equipment. From preparing cleaning solutions to operating autoclaves your work will strictly adhere to cGMP standards ensuring our world-class products meet the highest quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine cleaning of production areas following SOPs and work instructions.
- Assemble and clean manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Follow the daily production schedule.
- Maintain supplies equipment logbooks and documentation according to SOPs.
- Record all activities accurately to meet cGMP requirements and complete logbook reviews.
- Participate in meetings shift handoffs and improvement initiatives.
- Support investigations by providing information and improvement suggestions.
- Follow all safety and cleanroom guidelines.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required (up to proven experience depending on education level or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing or GMP environment.
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of cGMP aseptic techniques or basic chemical concepts preferred.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently or on a team in a dynamic environment.
- Reliable and capable of following written and verbal instructions.
- Able to multitask effectively.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Must wear full cleanroom gowning including suit gloves hair/beard coverings safety glasses etc.
- No makeup jewelry perfume nail polish or scented products allowed.
- Able to wear PPE such as Tyvek and latex or nitrile gloves.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. independently.
- Able to stand walk reach stoop kneel or crouch for up to 80% of the shift.
