Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team at Kids R Kids Houston this role you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of preschool children ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment and supporting the overall well-being of our students through healthy eating.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following established nutritional guidelines and menu plans suited for preschool-aged children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan and inventory kitchen supplies ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available.
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
- Ensure all food is stored properly and follows safe food handling procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or chef preferably in childcare or educational settings.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs of young children.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
