Primary Purpose:
Ensure efficient operation of assigned office and assist with administrative duties.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient typing word processing and file maintenance skills
Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Maintain professionalism
Experience:
One year of clerical experience preferably in public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide general clerical support to assigned office.
- Answer telephone and greet visitors as needed.
- Assist with test preparation.
- Compile maintain and file all reports records and other documents required.
- Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendar.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Provide individual instruction and assistance in using various resources including computer and audiovisual equipment for assigned office
- Shelve incoming books materials and equipment
- Ready materials for classroom or reserve collection use as requested by teachers
- Prepare bulletin boards for and displays for assigned office and assist assigned office in preparing instructional materials
- Receive and process books materials and equipment and reconcile with packing slips and invoices
- Assist in the annual inventory and weeding of library media center materials
- Maintain physical and computerized files
- Prepare bibliographies forms purchase orders requisitions and routine correspondence using personal computer
- Assist assigned office in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports
- Assist in supervision of students to maintain student behavior and maintain an orderly atmosphere
- Regular attendance
- Other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Copier personal computer typewriter telephone fax and audiovisual equipment.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent sitting walking stooping bending maintain high level of manual dexterity and lifting.
