Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Appian Mobile Tester to join our Quality Assurance this role you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functionality performance and usability of enterprise-grade applications built on the Appian Low-Code Platform specifically focusing on the mobile user experience (iOS and Android).

You will bridge the gap between complex business process logic and the mobile interface ensuring that our applications function flawlessly whether online or offline.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies specifically for Appian mobile interfaces (SAIL components) on both iOS and Android platforms.
Validate Appian Mobile Offline capabilities ensuring data synchronization logic functions correctly when connectivity is restored.
Perform cross-device and cross-OS compatibility testing using physical devices and cloud-based farms (e.g. BrowserStack Sauce Labs).

Testing & Automation:

Design maintain and execute manual and automated test scripts.
Utilize mobile automation tools (such as Appium) alongside Appian-specific testing tools (FitNesse for Appian or Selenium).
Conduct UI/UX testing to ensure responsive design compliance and adherence to mobile accessibility standards.

Collaboration & Defect Management:

Collaborate closely with Appian Developers and Product Owners to understand BPM workflows and business requirements.
Identify document and track defects using Jira / Azure DevOps providing detailed reproduction steps and logs.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning Stand-ups Retrospectives) to advocate for mobile quality early in the development lifecycle.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Technical Skills:

Mobile Testing: Proven experience testing mobile applications (Native Hybrid and Web) on iOS and Android.
Appian Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Appian platform specifically how SAIL interfaces render on mobile devices and how Appian Offline Mobile works.
Automation: Experience with mobile automation tools like Appium or XCUITest/Espresso.
API Testing: Proficiency in testing REST APIs using Postman or SOAP UI (essential for Appian integrations).
Database: Working knowledge of SQL (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server) for backend data validation.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a user-centric mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

Experience testing applications wrapped with MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions (e.g. Microsoft Intune AirWatch).
Experience with FitNesse specifically for Appian.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests.
