Job Summary
Job Title: Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Job Description:
-
Analyze project requirements and information from alternative studies to develop an accurate report for submittal.
-
Analyze survey reports maps drawings blueprints aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects/tasks
-
Assessing and identifying collection/distribution system performance deficiencies predicting future issues and developing solutions for planning and design projects
-
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs sewer rehabilitation water and sewer design water and water/wastewater pump station and treatment process design engineering economics preparation of specifications and engineering report writing

Candidates should have a firm grasp of general heavy construction principles; environmental facilities operations-related experience is considered a plus

Perform design computations
-
Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines using design software and drawing tools
-
Develop or review the construction cost estimate.

Prepare and compile contract plans specifications and estimates
-
Attend meetings with clients and assist taking meeting minutes
-
Coordinate with other disciplines and understand how they fit into the project and design.

Quality review of project design in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
-
Technical oversight and guidance/support of Design Engineers within department.
Required Experience
-
5-10 Years Experience
-
A bachelors degree in Civil Environmental Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
-
Proficient in related design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit ArcGIS and MS Project
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office
-
Written and communication skills
Preferred Experience
-
Possess a Professional Engineering License

Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
