About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the tax department including workflow team guidance and quality assurance

  • Preparation and submission of personal tax compliance for a varied client base (high-net-worth individuals entrepreneurs professionals)

  • Reviewing and overseeing the work of team members to ensure technical accuracy and compliance

  • Providing coaching mentoring and ongoing support to junior staff

  • Advising on complex personal tax issues (capital gains tax inheritance tax residency)

  • Maintaining strong client relationships through proactive advice and identification of advisory opportunities

  • Keeping up to date with personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements

  • Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectively

What Were Looking For

Key Requirements

  • ATT qualified (minimum); CTA or equivalent experience highly desirable

  • At least 5 years UK accountancy practice experience in personal tax

  • Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing team output

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high professional standards

  • Confident communicator and effective team leader

  • Excellent organisational and workflow management skills

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory

  • Familiarity with HMRC requirements and evolving tax legislation

  • Experience with tax software and digital recordkeeping (desirable)
