Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for leading a proactive and strategic approach to recruitment across the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). This includes managing the end-to-end recruitment process developing sourcing strategies building talent pipelines and strengthening NHVRs employer brand. The role also ensures compliance data integrity and effective use of HR systems.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Drive strategic talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Manage recruitment from job brief to onboarding.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Ensure best practice governance and compliance.
  • Partner with leaders to understand talent needs.
  • Lead recruitment campaigns and provide market insights.
  • Use multiple sourcing channels and direct sourcing techniques.
  • Represent NHVR at industry events and career fairs.
  • Vendor management for third-party recruitment services.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex recruitment projects.
  • Organised adaptable and detail-oriented.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting recruitment data.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal).
  • Minimum 3 years in internal recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Experience in building talent pipelines and direct sourcing.
  • Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS/e-recruitment systems (e.g. PageUp Workday SAP).
  • Exposure to psychometric assessments.
