About the Role

Were seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the strategic vision growth and performance of Filevines BDR organization. This leader will play a key role in shaping Filevines revenue engine by architecting a world-class pipeline development functionfrom outbound strategy and execution to cross-functional alignment with Sales Marketing and Revenue Operations.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned builder who can scale teams processes and technology to support Filevines high-growth trajectory. You know how to inspire people drive operational excellence and create systems that consistently generate high-quality opportunities. Youll play a pivotal role in talent developmentcultivating the next generation of Account Executives and revenue leaders within the organization.

What Youll Do

    • Strategic Leadership & Planning
    • Develop and implement a global outbound and pipeline-generation strategy aligned with Filevines sales and go-to-market objectives.
    • Set long-term vision for BDR organizational structure geographic expansion and operational maturity along-side VP of BDR.
    • Build scalable systems processes and programs that position the BDR function as a world-class revenue engine.
    • Analyze market trends and shifts to inform strategy and stay ahead of industry changes.
    • Team Leadership & Talent Development
    • Lead hire coach and develop high-performing BDR Managers and BDR teams across multiple regions.
    • Build a leadership pipeline by mentoring BDR Managers into strategic scalable leaders.
    • Create an engaging motivational culture rooted in accountability collaboration recognition and continuous improvement.
    • Drive programs that prepare BDRs for internal promotion into Account Executive roles and other revenue positions.
    • Operational & Process Excellence
    • Standardize global BDR playbooks workflows and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency across regions.
    • Partner with RevOps and VP to define performance metrics KPIs territories and reporting frameworks.
    • Optimize resource allocation capacity planning and forecasting to meet pipeline and revenue expectations.
    • Identify systemic issues develop scalable solutions and implement process improvements across the funnel.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Marketing Sales RevOps and Product to ensure seamless alignment across pipeline generation efforts.
    • Serve as a strategic connector bridging cross-functional teams to create unified GTM motions.
    • Work with Marketing on demand generation alignment persona insights messaging and sequencing strategy.
    • Collaborate with Sales to ensure smooth lead handoffs qualification alignment and opportunity conversion optimization.
    • Data-Driven Performance ManagementOwn visibility into BDR performance and drive data-backed decisions across the organization.
    • Analyze pipeline conversion rates outreach effectiveness KPIs SALs and revenue contributions to optimize strategy.
    • Leverage CRM and engagement technologies (e.g. Salesforce Salesloft) to refine workflows automation and reporting.
    • Executive Communication & Leadership
    • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
    • Influence senior leaders and collaborate on GTM planning revenue strategy and long-term company objectives.
    • Serve as a thought partner to Sales and Marketing leadership to ensure Filevine continues to scale predictably.

Qulaifications

    • 5 years of BDR/SDR leadership experience including 2 years managing global or multi-region teams.
    • Proven success building scaling and leading high-performing BDR organizations in high-growth SaaS environments.
    • Deep proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft.
    • Strong analytical operational and strategic planning skills with a demonstrated ability to manage through data and optimize performance.
    • Experience developing outbound strategies playbooks and GTM motions aligned with revenue goals.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop frontline managers while building scalable leadership pipelines.
    • Strong communication skills including confident executive-level presentation and cross-functional influence.
    • Successful track record collaborating across Sales Marketing RevOps and Product to drive unified GTM outcomes.
    • Experience in legal tech workflow automation or adjacent SaaS industries (preferred).
    • Background scaling teams within rapidly growing or PE-backed organizations (preferred).
    • Familiarity with multi-segment or multi-product GTM structures (preferred).
    • Experience designing scalable enablement onboarding or training programs (preferred).
    • Advanced understanding of forecasting capacity planning and sales operations (preferred).
    • Ability to lead through change with adaptability in fast-paced dynamic environments (preferred).

Compensation Information:$130000 - $140000 base

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individuals location qualifications education work experience skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevines total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
