Senior Manager, Data Production

Visa is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead strategic initiatives for foundational data assets that power Visas enterprise data ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Data Production within the Global Data Office this role will define the vision strategy and roadmap for one of Visas most critical data platforms including synthetic data capabilities ensuring compliance stability and usability.

As a Senior Product Manager you will drive enterprise-wide adoption of data assets lead technology modernization efforts and ensure compliance with data governance standards. You will influence high-level decisions manage complex stakeholder relationships and deliver innovative solutions that enable revenue growth and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering data science business intelligence privacy and governance to deliver high-quality data products that enable various use cases across Visa. You will also engage with business stakeholders to understand their pain points gather feedback and communicate value propositions. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of payment data and drive innovation at Visa.

Essential Functions:

• Strategic Leadership: Own evolve and implement the product strategies for foundational and synthetic data assets consistent with business needs and company vision
• Product Roadmaps: Manage the core payment data product backlog and roadmap aligning with the overall data strategy and business objectives.
• Innovation & Technology Modernization: Spearhead the transformation of data systems identifying emerging technologies and trends to enhance synthetic data generation and embracing cloud solutions to enhance scalability agility and cost-effectiveness
• Vision: Communicate the foundational data assets product vision value proposition and roadmap to internal stakeholders including senior executives and business partners.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with global and regional partners to understand market-specific needs ensuring our foundational data assets are tailored to support local and global business requirements
• Work closely with Data Science and AI/ML teams to understand their data requirements ensuring foundational & synthetic data assets are optimized for model training and deployment
• Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with privacy and governance teams to ensure that the foundational data assets comply with relevant policies standards and regulations.
• Mentorship: Guide junior product managers and analysts fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Metrics & Outcomes: Define KPIs for adoption compliance operational efficiency and monitor and report progress to executive leadership.
• Champion cloud adoption and integration of synthetic data solutions across enterprise systems.
• Support the migration of users and applications to abide by compliance requirements and facilitate the adoption of foundational data assets across Visa.
• Liaise with other business units product leaders engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 6 years of work experience with a bachelors degree or at least 4 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
• 5 years of experience in business or technical product management with strong data engineering or data science background
• Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of payment technology and other ecosystem requirements
• Prior experience with managing data product development in the banking or payments industry with an understanding of payments industry data is a plus
• Experience with Big Data & Cloud technologies Hadoop Databases and SQL
• Experience with agile and lean methodologies and experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers analysts and business partners
• Familiarity with synthetic data generation techniques machine learning models and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with organizational and leadership abilities to influence negotiate and drive results
• Aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust reliable and scalable payment solutions
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems
• Experience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
• Advanced degree desirable

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169100.00 to 245400.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
