ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Works with senior management to support strategic planning activities by providing actionable recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors both existing and potential.
- Identify and collect patient competitor market economic financial and/or operational data.
- Perform financial statistical and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors
- Translate data into executable and effective market and intelligence reports.
- Supplies the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning and proactively makes recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration.
- Collaborates with internal and external customers to identify opportunities that improve market intelligence opportunities. Independently structures meeting agendas facilitates meetings with more senior stakeholders guides group problem-solving and develops work plans coming out of meetings.
- Creates and updates comprehensive industry competitor and demographic models including but not limited to market share growth projections and trends and market forces.
- Performs thorough systematic analysis of key industry trends; the general social-economic and political environment; legal and regulatory issues; current and potential competitors.
- Ensure safety and confidentiality of market analytics by adhering to the organizations confidentiality and IT security policies and process.
- Creates and distributes the weekly market intelligence reports.
- Manages the market intelligence tracker. Perform complex data research and analysis to support market intelligence and decision making including creating data modeling analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration Business Finance Accounting Economics required; Masters degree preferred. May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience with the majority of time in either healthcare.
KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to analyze assess and evaluate data from multiple sources.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data sources evaluating their credibility and potential utility and leverages them across the company where appropriate
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports market research data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis
SKILLS
- Extremely organized and efficient work style attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines are a must.
- Effective communicator and writer
- Strong project management/priority management skills
- Proficiency in Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel specifically working with large data sets and developing highly professional management reports with charts and graphs.

- Ability to present and articulate analysis and findings to multiple stakeholders
- Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions organize and analyze information
