Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory. All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check and certain roles require a valid Hawaii drivers license and have a dependable vehicle. -Schedule: Must be available 5:30AM 2:00PM and 2:00PM - 10:30PM
-Compensation per hour: $20.00
-Key Responsibilities:
Sweep dust mop and disinfect tables chairs windowsills glass windows and counter tops.
Clean common areas including hallways stairways food courts and restrooms (ensuring sinks toilet seats and urinals are cleaned).
Restock cleaning supplies.
The capability to stand and work in various weather conditions.
Multi-task and work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Adhere to safety procedures.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Communicate effectively with supervisors co-workers and customers.
Report safety issues or building problems (e.g. burnt light bulbs).
Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding supplies and equipment needed for cleaning tasks.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
-Skills and Qualifications:
Must pass HBM prescreen.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Hawaii drivers license is preferred.
Previous experience as a custodian or in a related field is advantageous though training will be provided.
Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong public relations and communication skills are necessary.
Applicants should be prepared to perform basic manual labor maintain cleanliness in common areas and regularly lift press push pull and carry a minimum of 50-100lbs.
Physical capabilities must include reaching overhead grasping objects bending kneeling crawling squatting climbing stretching walking and standing throughout shifts.
