Primary Teacher

ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG School Jakarta is a private independent co-educational Kindergarten to Year 13 day school located in South Jakarta Indonesia. The school is a member of the Inspired Education Group which owns and operates over 80 schools globally and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). The school is governed by the foundation (Yayasan) and registered with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.

Since its establishment in 2004 ACG School Jakarta has grown into a comprehensive international school with a diverse student body representing approximately 35 nationalities. The language of instruction is English and we operate a non-selective admissions policy to serve the expatriate and local community including families employed by embassies multinational organisations and other sectors.

Our modern facilities provide a safe and supportive environment for learning including 30 classrooms two science laboratories library music and art rooms and a Musholla (prayer space) reflecting the diversity and values that underpin our community. As part of our mission and vision we focus on sustainability entrepreneurship and meaningful engagement with both local and global contexts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Primary Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging inclusive and effective learning environment that promotes academic progress inquiry and independent learning. They motivate students to achieve their potential and build strong study and self-management skills.

Teachers at ACG School Jakarta are expected to contribute actively to school life including participating in departmental meetings professional learning school events and community activities. Collaboration high professional standards and alignment with ACGs philosophy of teaching excellence are essential.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Previous experience in the education sector
• Relevant tertiary qualification (required)
• Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (desirable)
• A strong foundation in literacy numeracy and early learning particularly phonics
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ethical and professional values
• Full teacher registration and a willingness to work collaboratively within a high-performing team
