A vacancy has arisen within our Earthmoving Workshop based in Biggleswade for a Workshop Supervisor.
The role contributes to the success of Liebherr Great Britain Ltd by providing effective and timely support to the workshop. The role will ensure the department is achieving its key performance indicators and objectives whilst maintaining a service to both internal and external customers. The Workshop Supervisor will also ensure outstanding customer service at all times whilst working within the Companys key result areas; Business Performance Customer Focus People and Teamwork Leadership.
Your responsibilities as a Workshop Supervisor:
Providing hands on technical assistance to Workshop Engineers as and when required
Providing assistance to the Workshop Manager with regards to work planning
Working closely with the Workshop Manager to identify and provide recommendations for closing skill gaps for Workshop Engineers and Apprentices.
Working with the customer in mind and contributes towards ideas and initiatives that drive the improvement of both internal and external relationships
Driving increased customer satisfaction by ensuring workmanship delivers a quality as would be expected from a leading manufacturer
Supporting the administration of the quality control system within the Workshop
Effectively handling the administration required as part of the role
Preparing estimates as required
Promoting a positive and professional image to customers both internal and external especially in face-to-face discussion at the workshop site
Providing effective leadership training and development of direct reports
Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
Taking initiative to liaise with other internal departments as appropriate to identify possible opportunities with existing customers
Identifying opportunities and contribute to winning ideas that further develop systems and processes and improve working practices
Proactively seeking new opportunities to develop personal skills and looks at opportunities within the Workshop to apply these
Ensuring that self-image is a key contributor to promoting company business
Your Profile:
Completion of relevant apprenticeship in similar environment
Ability to demonstrate application of technical skills in similar industry
Good communicator at all levels
Flexible approach to work
