Wayman Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Barking to appoint a committed Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons run short-term interventions track pupil progress and contribute to the year-group planning cycle. About the role
The Year 3 Teacher will plan daily lessons that secure key skills in reading writing and maths deliver guided reading and targeted maths support and use assessment evidence to adapt teaching. The Year 3 Teacher will work closely with colleagues to moderate outcomes and share effective practice across the Barking partnership.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Year 3 lessons with clear progression and differentiated tasks.
- Implement targeted interventions informed by assessment and monitor their impact on progress.
- Work collaboratively with support staff to scaffold learning and meet diverse pupil needs.
- Communicate progress effectively to parents and participate in reporting cycles across Barking.
- Contribute to wider school activities and support transition into Key Stage 2.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and demonstrable Year 3 impact.
- Good knowledge of assessment practice phonics progression and maths pedagogy.
- Enthusiastic reflective and ready to join the Barking school community in January 2026.
