Golang Software Systems Engineer

Nexufend is revolutionizing enterprise network security with a groundbreaking distributed firewall that provides process-level visibility. Founded by entrepreneurs who built Safing (4th fastest-growing open-source startup in 2022) were scaling our B2B security platform.

Were seeking an experienced software systems engineer to build and scale the backend services of our network security platform ranging from complex databases to scalable log mangement and data optimization. Youll primarily work with Golang Protobuf Grafana Loki and PostgreSQL. Working directly with our CTO youll have significant influence in shaping the whole platform and will redefine how IT administrators can bring security to their networks.

Tasks

Golang Backend / OS Integration Development (85%):
Build backend services and features in Golang
Interact with PosgreSQL and Loki data sources
Design database structures and whole backend services
Scale services and data management
If skilled: Work on macOS iOS Android agents and system/kernel integration

Supportive Tasks (15%):
Use your other skills to help out colleagues or fill needs until these roles are properly filled
Manage and scale infrastructure
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

General Responsibilities:
Work independently and self-motivated on assigned features
Engage proactively in the creative process with forward-thinking solutions
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate with fronted developers on API design and integration
Write clean maintainable well-documented code
Contribute to architecture design decisions

Requirements

Must Have:
Proficient in Golang
Deep knowledge of networking network security and firewall technology
Experience with PostgreSQL Protobuf HTTP2
Familiarity with log management Grafana especially Loki
Modern development workflow using Git CI/CD GitHub ...
Ability to work independently and self-motivated
Forward-thinking approach and engagement in creative processes
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Live within 5 hours of Vienna Intl. Airport (door to door scheduled travel time)
Willingness to come to the office (or similar location) up to once per month (likely only once per quarter)
On-site is also possible even temporarily but mandatory for the first two weeks.

Nice to Have:
Low Level Operating System Development Knowledge
macOS and iOS network extensions experience
Android network integration experience
Experience managing and scaling Linux servers PostgrSQL Loki and containers
Background with B2B SaaS products
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Contributions to open-source projects
