- Mechanical engineering Market knowledge Negotiation skills Relationship management and Project management skills.
Key responsibilities: - Vendor selection and negotiation: Coordinate the selection of new vendors and lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms pricing and conditions.
- Contract management: Ensure vendor performance aligns with contractual agreements and service level agreements (SLAs) through regular monitoring and evaluation.
- Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and serve as a primary point of contact.
- Performance monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with internal departments like procurement legal and finance to align vendor activities with company goals and project requirements.
- Issue resolution: Professionally resolve any conflicts or disputes that arise with vendors.
- Process improvement: Identify and implement improvements to vendor management onboarding and procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
