We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer for our clients facility in the Kitchener waterloo ON region.
Shift - Days
Pay - $120 - 130K
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Design
-
Perform electrical design analysis and calculations for power transformers distribution transformers and related components.

Review and interpret technical drawings schematics and customer specifications.

Provide engineering recommendations for improvements in transformer efficiency reliability and performance.

Support development of design documentation BOMs and technical reports.
Testing & Quality Assurance
-
Oversee transformer testing inspections and acceptance procedures (FAT/SAT).
-
Evaluate test results to ensure compliance with applicable standards (IEEE CSA IEC).
-
Investigate technical issues identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Commissioning & Field Support
-
Provide onsite and remote technical support for transformer installation commissioning troubleshooting and maintenance.
-
Prepare and deliver detailed investigation or service reports for clients and internal teams.
Project & Client Coordination
-
Collaborate with project managers manufacturing teams and customers to support project deliverables.
-
Participate in technical meetings and provide expert guidance on transformer applications and system integration.
-
Ensure all engineering work adheres to regulatory standards and safety requirements.
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters degree an asset.

Professional Engineer () certification in Ontario or eligibility to obtain.

5 years of experience in transformer engineering testing design or field service.

Strong knowledge of transformer operation protection failure analysis and power systems.
