Clinical Care
Conduct diagnostic evaluations biopsychosocial assessments and risk assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clinical findings and patient goals.
Provide ongoing psychotherapy using modalities such as CBT DBT psychodynamic therapy trauma-informed care family systems therapy or other evidence-based practices.
Maintain a therapeutic alliance that fosters safety trust and engagement.
Monitor patient progress.
Crisis Management
Identify assess and respond to acute psychiatric symptoms including suicidal ideation or self-harm risk.
Follow organizational protocols for crisis intervention safety planning and referrals to higher levels of care.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate timely and complete clinical records in accordance with federal state and organizational guidelines.
Document assessments progress notes treatment plans discharge summaries and communications with collateral contacts.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice.
Professional Development
Participate in clinical supervision case conferences and team meetings.
Engage in ongoing training to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
Stay current with evolving research and best practices in psychotherapy and behavioral health.
Requirements
Education & Licensing
Masters in Social Work Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Psychology or a related field.
Active state license or license-eligibility (e.g. LCSW LMHC).
Additional certifications in specific modalities (e.g. EMDR TF-CBT) are preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication empathy and interpersonal skills.
Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York with specialization in Psychiatry (PMHNP). Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload of patients.
